Hi Glenda. I must agree I also loved the colours of your poppies.

I first saw this coloured poppy earlier this year when I went to

Mottisfont a National trust property which is famous for its Rose gardens, but I must admit I think I took more photo's of the poppies.

I thought it would be fun to have a go at your challenge as I thought the colours would be brilliant for your stamp sets

Butterfly swirls and Nature swirls.

I used brilliance pads Ivy and Olive for the swirls and stamped the butterflies in Royal purple Stazon, cut them out and water coloured them using a touch of Rose madder and violet

to make a soft blend of lilac to purple. I also used crystal glitter on the wings.

Thought you may also like to see this Christmas card Glenda.

I just love this tree stamp and have used it for the past 3 years. While looking to see what corner stamp I could use I realised that the Butterfly

swirls corner stamp matched this tree perfectly.

This has made a lovely card that is easy to batch make, I have also made this card in red and purple. I simply used big and juicy pads with lots of crystal glitter, and raised one of the trees a little.

Thank you helping to make it so easy for us.

Emilio Lickorish Birthday Card 2011

This is the card I made for my Grandson's Birthday.

I used the Serif Craft artist for the background and figures.

The clowns and elephant were printed separately cut out and coloured in using pro markers. Then attached using foam pads to raise them a little.

Wedding Cards and Shoes

The shoes were made using the free template download from Chocolate Baroque. I used papers printed from a Artylicious CD. Then stamped and embossed with silver pearl embossing powder the flowers were made using spellbinders dyes (Blossom Two).

The cards were made using Glenda's (Chocolate Baroque) new stamps,nature swirls and butterfly flourish swirl they were also stamped and embossed in silver pearl powder. Paper flowers made as above, silk flowers from my stash. The box was printed with the same paper as the shoe, stamped and embossed with paper flowers as before.

This is the card that I made for my Grandaughter for her Birthday this year.

I have made cards for her for many years, they have been posted but I am unsure if she has seen them or not. So this year I have also posted her card on my blog. So one day she may find it.

Chocolate Baroque

I made this card from the Chocolate Baroque paper I downloaded.

To make this card I printed straight onto a smooth white card with my free download from Glenda. I then stamped my poppies from the Elusive Image range onto white card twice. The poppies and background were then painted with h2o's.

I then cut out the front petals, leaves and large seed head and glued with pinflair to give a raised effect, curving the petals and seed head as I did so.

I used Spellbindes labels one for the matting and layering.

The flowers were cut from the Spellbinders Dahlia, each flower is cut from two layers of pink tissue paper, the flower centre was from the smallest die cut from black card.

The centre of the flowers and the main poppies were then embossed with dots of Disco black. To finish off I used one of the spellbinders Flourish accents in gold mirror board at the base of the flowers.

White with dangly bits

When I saw the description for this months competition was White I immediately thought of parchment craft, and as the friend I wanted to make this card for loves Butterfly's I used some of your butterfly's from different sets.

I stamped the 2 parchment butterfly's out in black, traced them with a white pencil onto parchment paper, embossed them from the back with a shader and small ball tool then cut them out.

I did the same thing again with the smaller butterfly's front wing leaving a small tab. I cut a slit into the body of the butterfly slid the tab through and glued to the back, then decorated the butterfly's with sequins and glass beads.

The dangly bits are made up by threading with small glass and pearl beads.

The small butterfly and flowers were stamped onto the parchment paper and embossed in white

I then dabbed powdered mica paints over them in lemon and soft green to match the backing paper.

The wording was stamped and embossed in white onto a cream pearly paper which was matted onto a pale green paper from the Peacock CD.

I then finished it off with a white bow and scattered sequins over the paper.

Resist technique using the Poppy Harlequin stamps

The poppy seedheads and butterfly were stamped in blue and embossed with clear embossing powder, I then painted a wash over it all and painted the poppy heads with gold and bronze mica paints. The poppy was then layered first onto blue then gold card.

The scroll layer was stamped with 3 colours and embossed with clear powder again.

The blue word layer was stamped with versamark and brayered, then layered onto gold card.

The pale layer was painted with Mica paints onto glossy paper for a sheen, and the last layer was daubed with Gold and red paint onto a black card to give a metalic look.

The final touch is a flower embossed with a pearl embossing powder onto velum, a silver punched flower, with a pink gem in the centre.

Graphicus Challenge

This is my August Challenge. Christmas and Complementary colours, and have chosen Blue and Gold as my colours.

I have just bought a brayer and could not wait to play with it, so this is the result.

I used two blue ink pads and brayered onto a Matte coated card from Clarity although it is called matte it has a nice smooth surface, I then stamped and embossed in gold with the Holly stamp from Graphicus Christmas Flourish themeplate, and added a bit of sparkle by useing Gold Stickles on the berries, trimmed card and edged with a gold pen.

On dark blue paper I stamped and embossed in gold again, this time using one of the Clarity corner stamps, I then used the stamp again in blue but this time onto white.

After layering them up, using pads to lift the card with the holly, I stamped and embossed the wording which was again from the Christmas flourish in gold and finished with a navy ribbon. I made this card with my Brother in mind thought the colours would be good for a man card

Exotic Hot Pink and Orange

This is my entry for the June challenge. Exotic hot pink and orange.
I really enjoyed this challenge, although they are not the colours I would usually use, it was also a good excuse to add a bit of bling.

Using a sheet of acrylic paint paper, I painted a wash in pink and orange, the paper has given it some texture, though it doesn't really show in the photo. It was then stamped using two differnt pinks with a stamp from the Damask range.

The Orange backing paper is from the Peacock CD I also printed then cut out the leaves and flowers from one of the pages on the Damask CD.

The Peacock ladies head was stamped onto Acetate. Then the headdress and necklace was glittered used both gold and pink glitters plus gold stickles.

Travel Blue

This is my entry for the Artylicous competition Travel colour Blue.

I have used as a Picture a photo that I had taken in Barbados a couple of years ago, (That's the travel bit) I have played with the photo to give it a watercolour look.

I then printed two pages from the Peacock Summer Party CD that complimented each other.

On the top layer I cut around some of the feathers, and then glittered the edges and eyes of a the feathers that had been cut, adding a few gems to the centre, I then added dots of dimensional glue to the eyes of the remaining feathers, and slid the picture between the cuts, then trimed and layered both pages I had printed onto the card.

Next thing was to stamp the small peacock onto some scrap paper from the first layer and embossed this with clear powder, trim and attached to the corner of the picture with 1mm pads.

Pink and Green

This is my entry for the graphicus monthly competitionBlossom and the colours Pink and Green.

I do not have a stamp that really represents blossom so have used the Morning Glory stamp from Flora and Fauna, I stamped this onto velum with the Moonlight white brilliance pad, and then coloured in the flowers and leaves on the same side I stamped with my Derwent pencils, then used their blending and burnisher pencils, these are brilliant and gave a lovely effect.

I then used a ball tool on the back of the Morning Glory petals to give it lift and some extra dimention before edging the velum with a pink ink pad. The velum was then attached to some pale pink paper, which in turn was mounted onto printable acetate which I had printed in green from the Damask Delights CD.

Using small stamps from the Delightful Damask set I stamped the front of my base card with pink and green brilliance pad.

Then with the butterfly from Just Butterflies I stamped it onto acetate and coloured it from behind with H2o's, to make this stick to the acetate I mixed a little dimensional or clear glue with the paint this stops the colour from flaking off.

I finished off the card using ribbon. I folded this into a few loops at one side and attatched it with a brad, I find that I do not have any problems with this being to thick for the post as the knot in a bow can be.

Plum and Gold

Loved the idea of Plum and Gold Glenda.
I first made some plumy colours with my H20's which I brushed and stippled onto some card and then with Egyptian gold I stippled over the top. I stamped the main image and embossed it in gold then stamped the words Celebrate and embossed them. I then decorated with beads and gems.

Using H20's I mixed three colours to make some plummy shades I painted these on to glossy card in a diagonal pattern and highlighted with gold.
For my backing paper I again used the Egyptian gold for the wash, then stamped with a brilliance pad and embossed with clear powder.

To finish off I twisted some gold wire and added a tassel.

Christmas cards

To make this card I first did the background by stamping the snowflakes onto paper and embossed in white, I then brushed randomly with two blues and a gold with twinkling h2os.

To give the snowflakes a bit of sparkle I finished them off with some glitterdoodle and stickles.

The carol singers were stamped and embossed in gold then painted with h20's.

The topper was then stippled round the edge and the bells were stamped and embossed then painted with gold h20's cut out and attached to the top left corner.

This is another card using the snowflake stamp.
I stamped the snowflake using a brilliance pad and embossed with silver pearl.

Next I painted the snowflake with my glitterdoodle.
I then did a wash on the background with h2o's in gold bronze and red.

The card was scored all round to make the squares, I painted the middle square with a dark blue and mounted the snowflake, where the card was scored I painted with gold h2o.

The 4 corners were made by stamping and painting the same as as the snowflake, then a clear gem was put into the centres.

The centre of the snowflake was a small stampboard which was painted with the h2o's then stamped embossed and glittered with another gem placed in the centre, I simply finished off by stamping merry christmas on all 4 sides.

This is one of my favourite stamps of Glenda's. I first used a glossy postcard and stamped the background with Judi-kins doodle stamp and Marvy blending box shades of sunset.

Then I stamped and embossed the pear in gold, the pear was painted with Tinkerbell inks, which gives it a lovely sheen.

I then mounted the pear onto gold mirror board, and placed onto the background, I then only had to stamp the Merry Christmas, place three dots in the bottom right hand corner using gold stickles.

To make this card I used four cardboard tiles from stamp addicts. First I sponged the tiles with blue and red inks from graphicus tinkerbell inks, then placing the tiles together I stamped and embossed the holly in gold, to add some colour and sparkle I used my stickles Candy cane on the berries.

I edged the tiles with a gold pen and mounted them onto black card, also edged in gold, this was then placed onto a linen card and the sentiment was stamped in gold below.

This was a simple little card to make.

First I stamped my holly and swirls from one of Elusive images Christmas stamps, onto a glossy card using my Marvy pens. I then glittered the swirls and berries, edged the card with peel offs and mounted onto red card.

I cut some gold mirror board and placed on the left hand side of card , and stamped the Merry Christmas down the right in red.

I used one of Elusive images Christmas bauble stamps for this card.

First I stamped onto glossy card with my chalk eye's and coloured in the flower and leaves with a water brush, then glittered the centre in gold and edged the flower with Sakura clear glitter pen, this was them matted and layered with gold mirror and red card, I next placed some gold peel off stars onto the mirror board , and attached some gold thread to the top with a gold star brad.

Using the same stamp I them stamped onto clear shrink plastic with the chalk eyes trimmed, shrunk and attached to card

I used a some backing paper from my Seasons greeting CD and a gold greetings peel off to finish.

The next two card were made by using some photo's that I had taken recently, I had played with them in photoshop to give a painted look and printed onto matt printing paper, matted and layered them, and placing them onto backing papers from my Artylicious seasons greetings CD.

I then made some ribbons using my photo's to finish them off.

I also used some silver glitter on the rose hip card below.

Recent Cards

This card was made for a dear friend who was 90 years young,
I stamped the lady with white stazon onto parchment paper then embossed the white from the back with my embossing tools, and painted the peacock lady with twinkling h2o's being careful not to get the paper to wet so it did not buckle, the 90, Happy Birthday and peacock was stamped with a brilliance pad.
I then attached the parchment to my peacock backing paper from the peacock summer party cd with tourquoise brads and attached to card adding a bow and small crystal.

This is the card I made for my mother in law.
This was my very first attempt with stampboard. I first painted the stampboard with tinkerbell inks, then stamped part of the poppy stamp onto it, using my scratch knife I highlighted part of the poppy, then embossed with amazing glaze to give a tile effect.
I mounted card painted with the same colour tinkebell inks onto some black card, them finished by attaching the stampboard which had been mounted onto black and gold card.

To finish off I used the tinkerbell inks on a small piece of card mounted onto black and stamped Mum onto it, then used brilliance ink pad to stamp the Happy birthay, and finished the card with a ribbon to match the colour's.

Peacock Lady

I made a flesh colour using H2O's then painted a fine wash over stampboard.

Next I stamped and emboshed the head onto stampboard and coloured with H2O's. I scratched the edges for texture and dabbed with cotton wool bud and chalk pad to give a tourquoise colour to emphasize her neck.

Also used cotton wool buds and chalks for eyes.
Then I stamped the whole stamp onto a glossy card embosing with gold and coloured the feathers on head dress with H2O's.

Using red stickles for the jewels and head dress. I edged and shaded glossy card with chalk eyes. This was then mounted onto gold and tourquoise card and two layers of peacock background paper (from CD Rom).

The ribbon was then stamped with tourquoise chalks to match. The black card was then edged with gold pen.
